Insider Secrets to Marketing Your Business on The Internet - Internet Marketing Center

I am going to take some risks here and start off by saying that the Insider Secrets to Marketing Your Business On The Internet Home Study Course, is not going to be the best course for eveyone and it would not be the course I recommend to those just starting out or getting their feet wet. While it is full of tons of valuable info and is now a classic internet marketing how-to course in its own right, I think there are better courses out there today. I have accepted the fact that I just might be the only person who feels that way - or maybe is willing to stand up and make that bold statement. Don't get me wrong, The Internet Marketing Center - started by the late internet marketing legend Corey Rudl and now headed up by Derek Gehl - are always at the cutting edge of internet marketing and they put out some great educational materials, and some of the best software programs for internet marketing. But that does not automatically mean this course is the best thing around or that it does not need to be updated (hint multi-media). In the recent 2007 update I saw that they added an 85 minute DVD of Derek Gehl Live, so that is good news.

I purchased the 2005 edition with Corey Rudl and found the course to be very flat, with minimal multi-media enhancements - an audio CD and resource CD. As a result I had a hard time getting started and actually implementing much of the information covered. There were many technical gaps for me - and I found myself saying "well that's good info, but how do I do that or what does that look like?". Now the actual content of the course is great, it is very dense - 2 gigantic binders and several CDs - and it is incredibly thorough in explaining how to market a business on the internet. It's weakness for me was that it was not multimedia, I was overwhelmed by the information and I had a hard time figuring out how to implement the material I just learned. If you like learning from a manual, then you might have more luck that I did.

My honest opinion of this course, based on my personal experience of having used it on and off for 2 years now - is that it works incredibly well for those who already have a business up and running - either enhancing an existing internet business or taking an offline business online. I had neither of those - I was starting from scratch. I realize now that what I needed and was looking for was a course that had a different starting point. While it was not the course that got me started online, I do find myself referencing the Advanced Techniques binder quite regularly. Now the course has become valuable and useful to me. I just wish someone would have shared this exact information with me instead of selling the heck out of it. My experience with this course and not being able to find one review that said "you know this course is great IF you have a business and not the best for trying to decide on a business idea", it would have saved me time, money and frustration. I was a bit fooled by the success stories - but keep in mind, chances are, they did not start off where I started off - think of the BowFlex commercial. None of those great bodies were created by the BowFlex - they just use the BowFlex to maintain their physique - those bodies were created in a gym. I kind of think the IMC course is the same way - it did not get me started but it is helping me maintain and grow my internet marketing efforts. If you decide to purchase this course, you will be making a wise investment - but it just might not be the course that you need right now - depends on your learning style and where you are with you internet business exploration. It might be a course that you consider buying down the road for the advanced techniques it offers. I should point out that they do offer a one year money-back guarantee that is hard to beat.

The Internet Marketing Center produces some great materials, it is just a matter of getting the right one that fits with where you are now with your internet business. If nothing else, sign up for the Internet Marketing Center's newsletter - always full of great marketing tips.

Stephen Pierce - Free Internet Marketing Videos

Stephen Pierce has begun posting a great free video series on YouTube. It is entitled "A Clean Bill of Wealth". This is episode #1, about 7 minutes of Stephen on stage discussing the "path to success". He claims that we are genetically programmed to succeed - a great concept to think about as you go about your day. Stephen has become one of my favorite internet marketers - I appreciate his story and the strong emphasis he puts on creating the right mindset. It is interesting to see this "trend" among successful internet marketers addressing developing the correct mindset upon which all success is built. I say "trend" because it was not something that was being discussed as widely 3-4 years ago as it is today. Yet it is not a new concept, and it is the starting place of all successful people. It is just nice to see that there is a movement that really works at incorporating this key, yet often overlooked component.

Affiliate Project X - Does it Work or Just Hype?

I will be honest and say that I have stayed away from this particular author's ebooks. I have never been a fan of so much hype. I just got so sick and tired of everyone promoting the hell out of his products, and when you can not find even ONE person willing to say one shortcoming on his products - something is not right and I run the other way. But I also have to applaud him on the fantastic copy he uses that generates so much hype and frenzy. And that has become his calling card or trademark and no doubt he has made a lot of money off of it - so kudos to his success.

I surfed around the net trying to find someone who would actually tell me a bit more about the product, what skills it builds off of, what level of internet marketer it would work for, what were the shortcomings, etc. I did finally come across one website - Ewen Chia's Secret Affiliate Weapon - a site that I joined for the fact that it was so cheap - a mere $9 - but more on that later. Ewen believed that there was nothing new to this product and was not promoting it - I read his review he had some good points. But then again Ewen's products are in direct competition with Affiliate Project X. - so I expected some conflict of interet there, and what better place to get a review.

A few weeks later, after all the dust settled I decided that I would purchase the product and apply it to the googlecash method I was already using. I applied several of the techniques to one campaign and I saw results immediately. I tested it on a second campaign and saw no change, I tested it on and third campaign and again I saw improvement. What kind of improvement, my sales doubled for the first product. While Ewen's review claimed that this product contained nothing new, in fact he pointed to several different reports in which he had covered these different techniques. But I certainly learned some new techniques and I found them all in one report. And I stress techniques because that is exactly what they are. In the end I had to admit that I really liked this product and I really was not expecting to come away with a success story. But in the end it kicked my GoogleCash process up several notches. And it shed the light on some real techniques that I know the "experts" are using but just not readily sharing with the rest of the world and for good reason why.

So you are going to find Affiliate Project X beneficial if you are not already using advanced affiliate techniques. I would highly recommend it for anyone using the Google Profits or Google Cash methods and have a few campaigns up and running. These are the advanced techniques that will make that method profitable again. If you have already taken an advanced affiliate marketing training, then this ebook is not necessary. But I consider it the next level of the Google Cash method. If nothing else, sign up for the free email course and see if it is for you.
